Noah's Shower
These are the invitations for Noah's Baby Shower. I just got them finished. I had quite a bit of Soft Sky left over from the last SU catalog (one of my favorite!) and so I used my "stash" for these. I made a couple in Bashful Blue and they looked awesome also. I used Soft Sky striped 1/2" grosgrain ribbon for the tie, attached with white brads. I wanted to use eyelets but I couldn't get any big enough in town. I used the stamp set Nursery Necessities. The sailboat and phrase on front is stamped with Whisper White and embossed in white. Inside I printed the information on "business cards" and attached. To get the bib shape, cut a 4 1/4 x 11 piece of cardstock and fold in half. Use Scallop Circle, a sizzix die from Stampin Up and cut just off the circle. So that you have a flat top to your scallop. This will be the fold in your card top. Use your 1 1/4" circle punch to cut the neck hole out of the top of your folded edge, leaving approx. 3/8 of an inch on each side uncut. - I hope this makes sense to you. I used a uni-ball signo gell pen (white ) to make the dots in each scallop. I attached the ribbon with brads but only to the top flap of the card so that the back remained smooth. They were fun to make!
